Sandalwood essential oil comes from the wood of the sandalwood tree and is one of the most expensive woods in the world. Sandalwood oil used to come mainly from the Indian Santalum Album tree but it became so exploited that India stopped the free use of the slow growing trees for essential oil extraction and furniture making. Lots of furniture was traditionally made from Sandalwood as it was renowned for keeping ants at bay. A clear indication of what a good insect repellent Sandalwood is.
At Angelico we use the Australian Sandalwood (Santalum Spicata) which has an almost identical fragrance and the same therapeutic properties as the Indian oil whilst environmentally grown.
Sandalwood has always been used in perfumes, home fragrance and skincare but over the past few years it has become very popular in high end fragrances and even laundry products.
Its fragrance is sensuous and grounding giving a real sense of calm. As a summer fragrance it is pure golden sunlight. In Winter, a warm blanket.
A blend made with Sandalwood essential oil works wonders on dehydrated skin. Our Serum for Mature Skin contains Sandalwood essential oil.

DIRECTIONS.
6 drops in a bath or vaporisor or 5 drops diluted in 10ml of vegetable oil for massage.
For external use only. Keep out of the reach of children. Do not get in eyes. Flammable. Store in a cool place out of direct sunlight.

Our bottles are made from blue/black glass which gives optimal protection for the delicate essential oils and active plant base oils used in our serums. Closures for essential oils are caps with integral droppers to enable easy controlled usage.
We do not use boxes as even though they look lovely there is really no on-use for them and we can’t bare the waste! We do however, supply simple high quality, black, unbranded bags with our own swing tag attached. This is lovely if you are giving Angelico Serum as a gift. You can of course state in the NOTES BOX when checking out that you do not want the bag. If you do not specify, you will receive a bag.
We have to protect the glass during transit so we use acid free tissue paper in blue which looks beautiful. We can also add a handwritten card if you are sending as a gift. Simply mention the words you require in NOTES BOX when you check out.
