There’s something quietly powerful about working with natural scent. Unlike synthetic fragrance, it doesn’t announce itself in the same way. It unfolds slowly, closer to the skin, changing over time. What you notice first isn’t what stays.

In the studio, I’ve been developing a small workshop around this idea — not just how to make a perfume, but how to notice one. How to recognise balance, contrast, and subtlety.

We begin simply: citrus, floral, wood, resin. Smelling each oil on its own, without rushing to define it. Then gradually, combining — adjusting, softening, grounding.

What emerges is always personal. Even working from the same materials, no two blends are alike. The intention isn’t to create something perfect, but something that feels considered. Something that sits well on the skin. Something you return to.

This workshop is an invitation into that process.

All About My Hands-on Studio Perfume Workshop

Step into the world of natural perfumery and discover how to create your own unique botanical scent using essential oils. In this relaxed, immersive 3-hour workshop, you’ll learn the foundations of natural perfume creation — from understanding scent families and perfume structure to blending oils with confidence.

Working in a small group in my studio, you’ll be guided step by step through the process of creating a perfume that is completely personal to you. This workshop is designed for beginners and the curious — no prior experience needed.

All materials are provided.

During the workshop you will:
• Learn what natural perfumery is and how it differs from synthetic fragrance.
• Explore a curated palette of high-quality essential oils.
• Understand top, middle and base notes.
• Learn simple blending techniques used by natural perfumers.
• Create and bottle your own bespoke natural perfume to take home.

You’ll leave not only with your finished perfume, but with a deeper understanding of scent, confidence in working with essential oils, and the inspiration to continue exploring perfumery.
