Rose absolute is extracted from the petals of the pink rose plant Rosa Damascena indigenous to Europe and the Middle East. From 1,000 pounds of roses only 10 pounds of rose absolute is extracted.
Rose oil can help improve acne, balance hormones, relieve anxiety, improve depression, reduce rosacea and naturally increase libido.
Rose absolute has high levels of antioxidant tocopherols, phenolics, and beta carotenes to fight ageing and cellular damage in the skin. It is soothing, cooling and anti-inflammatory.
In Ayurvedic medicine, rose is used to balance emotions and tone and cool the skin. It is said to open the heart chakra which is associated with love, joy, inner peace and intuition.
